Hydroponic Farming Greenhouse in Hot Climate
TX Hydroponic – Transforming Hydroponics in Argentina with Our Integrated Solutions
From Shade Net to Greenhouse — The Cooperation Story of Nigerian Client John Udoidiong and MiilkiiaGrow
In the heart of Argentina, where the summer temperatures regularly exceed 40°C, one company is successfully growing high-quality vegetables and fruits in a challenging environment. TX Hydroponic, a forward-thinking hydroponic farming business, partnered with us to overcome the extreme climate conditions and optimize their greenhouse production.
The Challenge: Extreme Weather Conditions
Argentina’s summer heat presents a significant challenge for greenhouse farming. Temperatures often soar beyond 40°C, putting excessive stress on crops and threatening to reduce yields. This extreme climate not only impacts plant health but also demands advanced cooling solutions to maintain optimal growing conditions. TX Hydroponic needed a solution that would not only regulate temperature but also support long-term, sustainable growth for their crops.
Tailored Solutions for Sustainable Growth
Greenhouse 1: NFT System for Leafy Vegetables
The first greenhouse is equipped with a Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) system, utilizing our black and white hydroponic pipes. This setup is designed to grow leafy vegetables, with an impressive capacity of producing 20,000 plants per month. The black and white pipes are ideal for this crop, ensuring proper root development and nutrient absorption. The NFT system maximizes space while ensuring efficient water and nutrient distribution to the plants, leading to high-quality yields.
Greenhouse 2: Tomatoes and Peppers
The second greenhouse is primarily used to grow tomatoes and peppers. This greenhouse is equipped with advanced irrigation systems, including an integrated water and fertilizer system, which ensures precise control over nutrient delivery. In just one quarter, the tomato plants produced 20,000 kg of tomatoes, showcasing the effectiveness of the greenhouse setup. Additionally, the photovoltaic system installed on the greenhouse provides clean, renewable energy, further enhancing the sustainability of their operations.
